Is Islam against science?

Many people argue that Islam is against science. I ask them to give a single example. Only that is put forward are the talks and writing pieces of some religious leaders. This can be called personnel opinion of religious leaders but not the teaching of Islam.

Islam is as close to nature as nature is itself. None of the teachings is against nature. In Holy Quran there are a lot of verses on exploring universe covering many fields of classical and modern science. Many scientific findings which came to known to modern science in the last three centuries were mentioned 1430 years ago. Nothing has been found contradictory to Quran and Islam. In fact no other religion is as vocal on science as Islam is.
